Aquarelle, the Unforgivable Medium
“Painting in watercolor is like walking a tight-rope;
one must achieve a perfect balance between what the paint wants to do
and what the artist wants to do, or all is lost.
– Mary C. Taylor
After I shared with you My Treasures and My Art Evolution in previous posts, I decided to do some watercolor paintings.
And although I have some Grumbacher watercolor sets, I did an online research and found out the more commented brands: Winsor & Newton, Sennelier, HK Holbein, and M. Graham & Co.
What do you think about my first artwork with the Sennelier watercolor set in an Arches watercolor hot press paper?
Can you tell that I also used my rapidograph pens, but instead of the usual ink, I filled them with watercolor to add additional textures?
